East Grange is built exactly to the specificatons of the International Biathlon Union: all rifles and equipment are exactly as you may have seen in the Winter Olympics or World Cups and World Championships (as seen on Eurosport). East Grange is the first fully safety-certificated biathlon-specialist range of its kind in the UK, and it is open to everyone.

Why target shooting? Why biathlon targets?

It would be hard to find an activity that is as all-inclusive as target rifle. Shooting takes a few moments to get started, but a lifetime to master, and everyone can compete on equal terms - young and old, male and female, novice and expert, able-bodied versus disabled (the range has full disabled access for up to 8 disabled shooters to fire simultaneously).

The biathlon target system is highly visual and extremely rewarding. Many people have watched biathlon regularly during the winter and especially in the Olympic Winter Games. The shooting range and equipment at East Grange are exactly as you see on television, as specified by the International Biathlon Union. That is why our customers include schools, ladies’ activity parties, stag days, corporate groups, biathlon teams, military biathlon unions (Army, RAF, Royal Marines) – but note that physical duress is NOT necessary to enjoy the shooting ........but we can arrange that too, if you wish!

East Grange brings this wonderful sport to the whole spectrum of clients: occasional customers; parties and family groups; regular corporate teams for both fun and formal group training; and Biathlon athletes, including the British Biathlon Union’s GB National Development Squad.

Fun through to Corporate Team Challenge – and everything in between!

You Want Just “Excitement”!? At the customers' choice, shooting can concentrate on traditional competitive marksmanship on paper targets (which are scored and given to the firer), or biathlon target shooting which is visually exciting and lots of fun, particularly in shoulder-to-shoulder competitions, or a combination of both. The sheer fun of biathlon shooting makes it a superb sport to entice youngsters to adopt the highest standards of self-discipline necessary – school and youth groups are most welcome.

Corporate? True team building and corporate challenges require a medium that provides a neutral footing for all participants, from the junior partner to the senior executive. Biathlon target shooting takes 10 minutes to start, but a lifetime to master: it is the ultimate challenge of mental strength that draws on the deepest inner strengths of a team.

The fundamental values that high-level biathlon demands and inspires in its teams, such as supreme fitness, cool-headedness under physical duress, slick teamwork, etc, are what endears the sport to the UK’s armed forces. Yes, they do biathlon in their valuable “spare time” and for “fun”! The GB Teams for the World Championships, World and European Cups, and Winter Olympic Games are almost exclusively military athletes, many of whom use East Grange Biathlon Centre. At East Grange, the target system is unique and extremely flexible, and the whole complex is floodlit during hours of darkness. Whatever your needs, please call to discuss; we are experienced in tailoring special packages. One of our most popular packages is the 3-event combination (quad biking, raft building, shooting) – the East Grange Challenge.
